Licensing

Last updated: June 2026

This page describes ownership, permitted use, and licensing terms for content and assets on the Testyra platform. It applies to Testyra's own content and does not govern third party services accessed through or linked from the platform.

Proprietary Content

Original content created by Testyra — including cognitive test designs, scoring logic, written descriptions, results explanations, branding, and user interface design — is owned by Testyra and protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or publicly display this content without prior written permission, except as permitted under fair use provisions of applicable copyright law.

User generated content, such as responses submitted during story creation or open ended tests, remains owned by the user. By submitting such content you grant Testyra a limited, non-exclusive, royalty free license to process and store it solely for the purpose of generating your results. This license terminates automatically when you delete your account or request deletion of your data.

Any license granted to you under these terms is automatically revoked if you violate any provision of these terms or the Terms of Service. Upon revocation you must immediately cease all use of the relevant content.

Third Party and Open Source Components

Testyra is built using third party and open source components governed by their respective licenses. Primary dependencies and license types are listed at testyra.com/open-source. Common license types include MIT, Apache 2.0, and SIL Open Font License.

Components may include:

  • JavaScript libraries and frameworks
  • Web fonts served via Google Fonts under SIL Open Font License or Apache License 2.0
  • Interface components from open licensed libraries
  • Analytics and infrastructure services governed by their own terms

Use of these components does not transfer any ownership or licensing rights to platform users.
