Description

See three words. Find the fourth word that connects them all. A classic insight test from Harvard creativity research. How It Works: Each puzzle gives you three words. Your job is to find a fourth word that can combine with each of the three to form a common compound word or phrase. Example: cottage / swiss / cake → the answer is CHEESE (cottage cheese, swiss cheese, cheesecake). You'll solve 15 puzzles. No time limit per puzzle — you have the whole session. Why It Matters: The Remote Associates Test measures associative creativity — the ability to connect distant concepts and spot hidden relationships. It's one of the most studied measures of insight and creative problem-solving. High scorers tend to have stronger analytical creativity and better divergent thinking. Tips: If stuck, try each word as a prefix or suffix. Say them aloud. Let your mind wander — the answer often comes when you stop forcing it.
